A newly constructed railway track between Daund and Kashti is set to undergo an engine trial along with a compulsory inspection by the Commissioner of Railway Safety on January 25, 2026. High-speed test runs will be conducted on the Daund–Kashti route from 08:15 to 16:00 on the day of the inspection. Daund–Kashti Rail Line to Undergo Safety Inspection and High-Speed Trials These trial runs are standard technical and safety evaluations that must be completed before the railway section is approved for regular service. Due to the movement of trains at high speeds, the Pune Division has called on residents of nearby villages, farmers, cattle owners, road users, and local governing bodies such as Gram Panchayats and Sarpanchs to cooperate during the trial period. All concerned parties have been urged to keep the railway tracks and surrounding areas entirely free of obstructions throughout the day.
