SaaS unicorn Icertis’ cofounder Samir Bodas has passed away at the age of 61 after a prolonged battle with cancer.  “It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Samir Bodas, our cofounder, long-time Chief Executive Officer, and Executive Chairman, following a courageous battle with cancer. This is a loss felt by many, and our thoughts are with Samir’s family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him personally,” said the company in a statement. Condoling the demise of Bodas, fellow cofounder and Icertis CTO Monish Darda said, “He challenged all of us to think bigger, act with integrity, and to create a consequential and enduring company. The company we are today is a testament to his vision, and his lasting influence will never be forgotten”. Born in Pune, Bodas moved to the US in 1982 to study computer sciences at the University of Texas at Austin. A decade later, he graduated from the Wharton Business School.
