Like a new player setting pieces on a crowded chessboard, Vinfast is plotting its next electric move in India. A Fleet-First Strategy Takes Shape Vietnamese electric carmaker Vinfast is preparing to launch the Limo Green MPV in India in February 2026, marking its third offering after the VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs. Confirming the timeline, Vinfast Asia CEO Pham Sanh Chau told Autocar Professional, “The next car that we are going to launch will be around February. It will be the 7-seater Limo Green.” The Limo Green will enter India’s expanding electric MPV segment, competing with models like the Kia Carens Clavis EV and BYD eMax 7. However, its debut is closely tied to a larger strategy — the rollout of Vinfast’s electric ride-hailing venture, Green and Smart Mobility (GSM). Chau stated, “We are going to launch GSM, which is an electric taxi fleet and operations, in India next year. They will be using only Vinfast vehicles,” signalling that a significant share of the Limo Green’s volumes could come from this captive fleet demand.
