Ecommerce enablement company Velocity said it has earmarked Rs 100 crore to scale its logistics arm, Velocity Shipping, as it looks to expand its presence in the shipping aggregation market and invest in AI-driven tools across the logistics chain.Velocity Shipping — formerly known as Shipfast — will receive the investment over the next two years, funded through internal accruals and revenue from the company’s core businesses, Velocity said in a statement.Launched in 2025, the shipping platform has onboarded more than 900 brands, around 60% of which are existing Velocity partners. The company said the logistics vertical now contributes roughly 40% of overall revenue and recorded about 70% month-on-month growth in order volumes. In December 2025, the platform processed over one million shipments, according to the company.Velocity plans to deploy the capital toward hiring, product development and AI-led interventions designed to address delivery verification, returns management and billing reconciliation. The company said it intends to double its shipping team and has hired senior executives with prior experience at logistics firms including NimbusPost, Pickrr, Delhivery and Shiprocket. Non-profit organisations in India, and around the globe, have traditionally stayed away from digital transformation. However, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is now changing the game. Tech-for-good startup Digital For Nonprofits (D4NP) is one such startup that is building GenAI solutions (among other things) to help non-profits in India become more technologically savvy.New Delhi-based D4NP’s story started a decade ago. As digital marketing was taking off in India in 2008, Abhinav Chetan was part of Google LLC’s Delhi office, working at the forefront of the country’s growing internet economy. In his 12-year stint at the company until 2020, Chetan got many opportunities to get involved in projects outside of his primary responsibilities—some of which involved working with non-profit organisations. In 2012, he took a 40-day break to train as a yoga teacher at the Sivananda Yoga Ashram in Kerala. India has emerged as a major exporter of carbon credits in the global market, accounting for 17% of credits being issued every year. Recent times have seen many startups emerge in the space, setting up carbon removal projects in India. Some of these startups, like Alt Carbon and Varaha, have also gone on to sign offtake agreements with US-based tech giants, Microsoft and Google, among others. The voluntary carbon markets run on rigorous verification and testing to ensure that the credits are credible. These startups have to follow methodologies and standards that are set by agencies, constantly measuring their progress and testing their results in labs so as to generate certified carbon credits. As of 2026, the Indian government is also setting up a Carbon Credit Trading Scheme (CCTS), which will be the country’s first national framework designed to put a price on carbon emissions. Meanwhile, Indian startups can verify their credits and list on a range of registries that are available globally. Cybersecurity incidents are now seen as the single biggest threat to business performance for Indian companies, with over half of senior executives (51%) naming them as their top concern, according to a survey released on Sunday.The FICCI-EY Risk Survey 2026 also highlighted mounting pressure from market and geopolitical shifts. Nearly half of respondents pointed to evolving customer expectations (49%) as a key challenge, while 48% cited geopolitical developments, reflecting the increasingly external nature of corporate risk exposure.Based on feedback from senior leaders across industries, the report indicates that technology risks are becoming inseparable from day-to-day operational resilience. Rapid digital change is altering competitive landscapes, with 61% of participants saying technological disruption is already influencing their ability to compete. An identical share viewed cyber intrusions and data breaches as material threats to finances and reputation.“More than half, 57%, report potential data theft and insider fraud as significant risks, and 47 % acknowledge difficulty in addressing increasingly sophisticated cyber threats,” the report stated.The study draws on a web-based poll of 137 senior decision-makers, including CXOs. The partnership will focus on Leonardo’s AW169M and AW109 TrekkerM helicopters, with an emphasis on phased indigenisation, advanced maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) capabilities, and end-to-end pilot training, the companies said in a joint statement. Parking Gets a Price Tag Bengaluru’s Malleswaram, one of the city’s most vibrant shopping districts and a long-time victim of roadside parking chaos, is set for a significant change. To tackle chronic congestion, the West Zone of the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) plans to roll out a pay-and-park system across seven busy commercial roads. Once implemented, cars, scooters and bikes will no longer park for free, with structured hourly fees and daily passes replacing the current free-for-all. The civic body has floated a tender to introduce paid parking facilities on Sampige Road, 18th Road, 15th Road, 11th Road, 8th Road, 4th Road and 2nd Main Road. These streets see intense footfall and vehicular movement, particularly during peak shopping hours, when poorly regulated parking often leads to severe traffic bottlenecks. Officials believe that regulated parking will help restore smoother traffic flow and reduce unnecessary delays.
