Capgemini Sells US Subsidiary For Govt Contracts

French IT services firm Capgemini announced on Sunday that it is divesting its U.S.-based arm, Capgemini Government Solutions, effectively exiting that particular federal-facing business in the United States. Read on to find out more about this development! Capgemini to Sell U.S. Government Solutions Unit, Exit Federal Business The decision comes at a tense moment for the company, which has recently faced mounting scrutiny over a contract linked to the U.S. immigration enforcement agency ICE, an agency already under heavy public criticism. That scrutiny intensified against the backdrop of widespread protests triggered by immigration policies under U.S. President Donald Trump, putting additional reputational pressure on firms associated with enforcement activities. In explaining the sale, Capgemini said that U.S. legal and regulatory requirements tied to federal contracts involving classified work limited the company’s ability to properly oversee how the subsidiary operated. The company stated that these restrictions made it difficult to maintain sufficient operational control and ensure the subsidiary’s activities remained consistent with the group’s broader goals, noting: “Capgemini considered that the usual legal constraints imposed in the United States on contracting with federal entities conducting classified activities did not allow the Group to exercise appropriate control over certain aspects of this…  Read MoreBusiness Archives - Trak.in - Indian Business of Tech, Mobile & Startups

How overthinking quietly steals your daily happiness

Joy rarely disappears all at once. It fades quietly. It slips away in moments that should feel light—morning chai turning cold while you replay a conversation, a laugh interrupted by a sudden worry, a peaceful evening ruined by thoughts of what if and what next. Life keeps happening, but you’re no longer fully present for it. Overthinking doesn’t announce itself as a problem; it disguises itself as being careful or thoughtful. Slowly, it pulls you out of the present moment and traps you inside your own head, where happiness struggles to survive. This article explores how overthinking quietly steals daily happiness, why it’s difficult to notice, and how joy can be reclaimed without forcing positivity or dramatic change. How overthinking quietly steals your daily happinessIt pulls you out of the present momentHappiness exists in the present, but overthinking constantly drags the mind elsewhere. When your thoughts keep moving between past regrets and future worries, you miss what’s happening right now. You may be physically present but mentally distracted, thinking about what could go wrong or what should have gone differently. Over time, life begins to feel rushed and empty, not because it lacks meaning, but because you are rarely fully engaged…  Read MoreYourStory RSS Feed

3 Reasons Why India US Trade Deal Gives Advantage Over China,...

India’s recent trade agreement with the United States, under which U.S. tariffs on Indian goods were reduced to about 18 %, positions Indian exporters favourably compared to several regional peers. Here are three key reasons this deal gives India a competitive edge over countries like Pakistan, China and Bangladesh: 1. Lower U.S. Tariffs Than Regional Competitors Under the new trade deal, the U.S. has agreed to cut reciprocal tariff rates on Indian exports to around 18 %, significantly lower than the tariffs applied to some neighbouring competitors. Reuters reports that this rate is lower than the tariffs still faced by countries such as Pakistan and China — typically closer to or above 19–20 % under U.S. tariff schedules. Being able to export to the world’s largest consumer market at a lower duty rate enhances India’s price competitiveness relative to these peers. Reducing U.S. tariffs means Indian goods become more affordable to American buyers compared with similar products from Pakistan, China, and Bangladesh. Lower duties can translate into higher export volumes, improved market share, and stronger penetration of sectors such as textiles, engineering goods, chemicals and more — industries where cost competitiveness matters significantly. 2. Preferential Market Access Encourages Export Growth…  Read MoreBusiness Archives - Trak.in - Indian Business of Tech, Mobile & Startups

Sensex Jumps 2300 Points As Market Cheers India-US Trade Deal

Indian stock markets kicked off the trading week with a powerful rally as benchmark indices responded enthusiastically to news of a major trade agreement between India and the United States. On 3 February 2026, the BSE Sensex jumped roughly 2,300 points at the opening bell, while the Nifty 50 climbed about 700 points early in the session, marking one of the strongest market reactions in recent months. This dramatic move came after leaders from both countries confirmed a long-awaited trade deal that significantly reduced tariffs on Indian exports to the US, eased longstanding trade barriers, and strengthened bilateral economic ties — sending a clear signal of improved prospects for corporate earnings and foreign capital inflows. What the Trade Deal Entails Under the agreement, tariff rates on many Indian goods exported to the US were lowered — reportedly from historically high levels to much more competitive rates. In return, India has agreed to reduce certain trade barriers, harmonise tariff structures, and strengthen cooperation on broader economic issues. These terms sparked immediate optimism among investors and analysts alike. The deal comes against a backdrop of previous tariff tensions between the two countries, which had weighed on trade volumes and investor sentiment. How a Free PDF Website Beat Amazon in India’s Traffic: The...

In October 2024, the internet witnessed an unexpected phenomenon. iLovePDF, a straightforward online suite of PDF utilities, generated more web traffic in India than Amazon’s flagship marketplace site for the same month. Data from analytics platforms Ahrefs and SimilarWeb show iLovePDF reached over 150 million global visits in October 2024, with approximately 47 million of those coming from India, surpassing Amazon.in’s traffic for that period. This startling moment spotlighted a tool that most internet users have encountered at least once but few could have predicted would briefly outrank one of the world’s largest e-commerce platforms in a major market. It was not a flash in the pan. iLovePDF’s rise is the result of consistent growth over more than a decade dominated by organic search and genuine utility.A Simple Idea That Scaled GloballyiLovePDF was created in 2010 by Marco Grossi, an Italian-Spanish designer based in Barcelona. Legend has it that Grossi needed to merge two PDF files but could not find a fast and free online solution. Rather than waiting, he built one himself. That initial utility, designed to solve a single problem quickly, would grow into a full platform of PDF tools used by millions worldwide. The simplicity of the…  Read MoreYourStory RSS Feed

Tax Holiday For Businesses At GIFT City Extended To 20 Years

In a significant move to strengthen India’s push as a global financial hub, the Union Budget 2026–27 announced that businesses operating within the Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) will now enjoy a 20-year tax holiday — doubling the previous 10-year exemption period. This change aims to make GIFT City far more attractive to international and domestic financial players considering long-term operations in India. What the Tax Holiday Extension Means Under the new budget provisions, companies that set up operations in GIFT City’s International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) can now receive tax exemptions on business income for 20 consecutive years out of a 25-year window. After the expiration of this tax-free period, these entities will be subject to a concessional 15% corporate tax, which is highly competitive compared to the regular Indian corporate tax rates that can range between 25% to 35% elsewhere in the country. This extended tax holiday is designed to provide long-term fiscal certainty for financial firms and related businesses that may require extended planning horizons. Financial institutions typically make capital, infrastructure and staffing decisions years in advance, and knowing they can operate tax-free for two decades reduces long-term risk and encourages deeper investments. Level Playing Field…  Read MoreBusiness Archives - Trak.in - Indian Business of Tech, Mobile & Startups

Smart but Stuck? Dalí’s Quote Explains Why You’re Not Taking Off

“Intelligence without ambition is a bird without wings.” — Salvador DalíThere’s a quiet cruelty in wasted potential. Not the dramatic kind no public failure, no spectacular collapse. Just a slow, private stagnation: bright people who never lift off.Salvador Dalí’s line hits because it separates ability from movement. Intelligence can help you see patterns, learn quickly, and understand the world. But ambition—healthy, directed ambition is what turns insight into action. Without it, intelligence remains grounded. Like a bird with perfect feathers and strong legs… but no wings.Intelligence is capacity, not an outcomeA common trap is confusing intelligence with achievement.Intelligence is capacity: the ability to absorb, analyze, and solve. It’s the engine. But an engine doesn’t guarantee a journey. You can be smart and still remain stuck in the same place—because nothing is pushing the engine to move. That push is ambition. Not just “wanting success,” but wanting something specific enough to pursue: mastery, impact, progress, creation, leadership, independence—whatever matters to you. Ambition gives intelligence direction. It turns knowledge into a plan, and a plan into a habit.Ambition is the wing that creates liftThink of ambition as lift.A bird doesn’t fly because it understands air currents. It flies because it has the structure to…  Read MoreYourStory RSS Feed
